Email a 500 to 2,000 word essay on your favorite American dive. We are looking for descriptive writing — perhaps with a personal story about something that happened (or did not happen) at that dive.
Things that always make for a good article:
- city and state
- note if it is still open for business (or maybe doing business under another name)
- colorful characters
- something notable for each of the five senses
- a photograph or two (keep them to about 200×200 pixels, please)
- what makes this place unique and special to you
- you can put your email address in the site, but no commercials. Bar owners - do not send in a piece about your own bar, that just ain’t what a dive would do.
